Location

18 Biltmore Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801 (map)
Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Asheville, the entrance for the Wortham Center for the Performing Arts (comprising Diana Wortham Theatre, Tina McGuire Theatre, and Henry LaBrun Studio) is marked by the center’s marquee on Biltmore Avenue, between Marble Slab Creamery and White Duck Taco. Guests enter through the breezeway into a large interior courtyard that leads to the center’s lower lobby and box office. The Wortham Center is just three blocks from I-240, Exit 5A for Merrimon Avenue.

Parking

There are numerous parking options for those attending events at the Wortham Center, including parking decks, surface lots and metered on-street parking. Parking decks and lots have varying hourly rates or charge a flat rate event parking in the evenings. Parking payment may be made with credit card or cash.

In terms of proximity, the Wortham Center recommends the following three parking decks as the best options for access. Please reference our downtown parking map for other options.

Biltmore Avenue Parking Deck – 16 Biltmore Ave.

This privately operated deck is adjacent to the Wortham Center and provides convenient access to the center. Park at street level for access to the main entrance, courtyard and box office, or continue to the very top/third level, turning right after you reach the rooftop. From this level, there is direct access to the Wortham Center’s balcony level. Look for the Wortham Center sign on the door from the parking deck.

Aloft Hotel Parking Deck – 51 Biltmore Ave.

This municipal deck is connected to the Aloft Hotel and is just one block south of the Wortham Center, on the opposite side of the street. Enter the deck directly from Biltmore Avenue or behind the hotel on South Lexington Avenue. The Wortham Center is a short walk up the hill on Biltmore Avenue.

Buncombe County Parking Deck – 164 College St.

This municipal parking deck is a few blocks from the Wortham Center. From this deck, you can access the Wortham Center’s primary entrance on Biltmore Avenue or use the center’s rear entrance on Market Street (between Pack Square and Eagle Street) through the Market Street Courtyard entrance (just before the back entry to the Biltmore Avenue parking deck and across from the Fire House). Enter the corridor to access the courtyard that leads directly to the Wortham Center.
