Finance Director
The Finance Director is a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for the fiscal management of Wortham Center for the Performing Arts.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Finance Director is charged with managing and communicating all financial matters with the leadership team and board of directors, in alignment with the Wortham’s mission and goals, and plays a key role in a broad range of operations and initiatives. Summer Camp Teaching Artist
The Wortham Center seeks an experienced Teaching Artist who is confident in leading and designing arts and performing-arts-themed curriculum, managing a classroom of children, and creating a supportive and fun environment where young people can explore, connect, and grow.
Creative and performing arts summer day camps run four weeks, June 24-July 26 (with a week off July 1-5), Monday through Friday for children ages 6-11.
Teaching Artists are required to:
- Lead classes in theatre, acting, creative movement, dance, music, puppetry, art, or design.
- Collaborate with the Wortham Education Team to create and implement camp material and lesson plans.
- Maintain a classroom environment that promotes learning.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully to students, fellow teaching artists, staff, and teachers.
- Help prepare and rehearse an end-of-the-week showcase/sharing for friends and family.

Summer Camp Teaching Assistant
The Wortham Center for the Performing Arts seeks an early-career artist and teacher who is excited to gain hands-on experience in theatre education for youth. The Summer Teaching Assistant will work with the Wortham Education Team for four weeks of full and half-day camps running Monday-Friday, June 24 – July 26 (with a week off July 1-5), for kids ages 6-11.
Teaching Assistants are required to:
- Actively assist teaching artists in camps for students ages 6 – 11.
- Lead group activities in acting, movement, improv, and more.
- Support rehearsals and performances by leading breakout rehearsals and working behind the scenes.
- Help facilitate daily student drop off and pick up.
- Maintain clear and organized classroom and performance spaces.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully to students, fellow teaching artists, staff, and teachers.

Summer Camp Interns
The Wortham Center for the Performing Arts seeks a small team of high-school and college-age interns who are excited to gain hands-on experience in the world of theatre education. Summer Camp Interns will work with the Wortham Education Team for four weeks of full and half-day camps running Monday-Friday, June 24 – July 26 (with a week off July 1-5), for kids ages 6-11.

Theatre Technicians
The Wortham Center for Performing Arts is seeking freelance technicians to support events in the Diana Wortham Theatre, Tina McGuire Theatre and Henry LaBrun Studio.
Hourly, part-time positions are available throughout the year, with variable hours based on event schedules. The Wortham offers a supportive and well-equipped environment for artists to fulfill their vision and allow technicians to perform in a professional and safe environment.
Technicians are required to:
- Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Maintain effective audio-visual discrimination and perception.
- Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities, which may including but are not limited to: walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods of time; lifting, stooping, climbing, bending, and carrying heavy materials; operating assigned equipment; and handling varied tasks simultaneously.

Custodian
The custodial staff is part of a dynamic team advancing the mission of the Wortham Center for the Performing Arts by maintain a clean and pleasant space for our vibrant community of artists, students, and patrons.
Custodians perform a variety of duties including the care and cleaning of performances spaces, lobby, facilities and other building areas. Work is repetitive in nature, requiring efficient performance of simple and heavy-duty building cleaning and maintenance duties. Work is performed under general supervision and is reviewed through inspection of completed tasks.
This is an hourly, part-time position with a minimum of 21-29 hours per week. The position will remain open until filled. Wortham Center for the Performing Arts offers competitive pay and a pleasant work environment.

Wortham Center Internship Program
Arts administration and theatre production internship opportunities are available throughout the year at the Wortham Center for the Performing Arts. Internships are best suited for local college or upper high school students who seek hands-on experience in the field and/or class credit. Unless otherwise specified, internships are unpaid.
