Gentle Yoga with Miranda Watson

Explore yoga in a safe, judgment-free environment. No reservations required. Miranda Watson’s Gentle Yoga class focuses on connecting the breath with movement to calm and soothe the nervous system and soften the body into openness and stillness. Miranda skillfully guides students through a slow and fluid sequence of postures that encourage improved flexibility, range of motion, balance, coordination, and strength. The class ends with a guided meditation for deep relaxation. Please bring a yoga mat and any props you might need. No experience necessary.
Gentle yoga class is held on Thursdays from 9-10 a.m. No reservations required.
Classes are free with optional donations to support students returning to the theatre via Wortham Center’s Y.E.S. (Youth Education Scholarship) Fund.
About Miranda: As a lifelong dancer, Miranda Watson was drawn to yoga for the physical benefits — but soon discovered that it also helped her to manage stress and quiet the mind. She quickly fell in love with yoga, became a certified yoga instructor, and has now been practicing yoga since 2002.
