A gift of stocks or securities may be given as a regular donation any time throughout the year or as an end-of-year donation. It may also be applied towards a Friends membership, or towards an individual sponsorship for Wortham Center Presents performances.
By donating stock, you may benefit by avoiding having to pay capital gains tax. The process is simple; consult with your broker to have your shares valued and to discover your options.
Before making a transfer, please contact us with your name, the name of the stock, and the number of shares being donated so that we may ensure your gift of stocks or securities is processed and acknowledged in an accurate and timely manner.
